I have decided to move all my Walking Dead reviews to a new blog. It will also have reviews of zombie movies and just my thoughts on zombies in general. Check it out here!
This episode was bland. There is this pattern of character development right after something major happens. I honestly don’t have much to say about it.
Who taught Lori to drive? Everyone knows you do not look at a map and drive at the same time. I have come to the conclusion that she just sucks at life.
I think Rick has gone bat crap crazy. Look at his eyes! I am excited to see how crazy he will get.
Speaking of crazy, I am counting down the days until Dale kills Shane. I hope that day is soon.
I also hope that the episodes start to pick up. I can’t take anymore character development.
This should be renamed Shane is a giant butthole. Here is why:
HE MADE LORI’S PREGNANCY ABOUT HIM
Rick ends up arguing with Shane about staying at the farmhouse. He lets it slip that Lori is pregnant. What does Shane do? Go and talk to Lori about how it is his baby. He doesn’t even want the baby. He just wants her to admit that it may be his. Douche alert!
HE MADE THE WALKERS IN THE BARN ABOUT HIM
He had to go and act all macho and kill the zombies in the barn. Risking safety at the farm. Why do men do that? He almost seems like he is having fun.
IN THE END HE MADE RICK DO THE DIRTY WORK
He acts all big and bad until something horrible happens. They find Sophia in the barn and who has to shoot her? Not Shane. Rick has to. After all that yelling about how Sophia was long dead. I really despise him.
This episode was great. It really made up for the snooze fest episodes before it.
All the secrets come out! Nothing happens in this episode. Again! I am so tired of the episodes just for the drama between all of the group. Let’s see the exciting things that happened in this episode.
CARL GETS TO SHOOT A GUN
Excitement Meter: 4/10
I knew he was going to eventually learn how to shoot a gun. How can they not let him? This was just really predictable. It would have been more exciting if he snuck around and did it. Which is what he tried to do in the first place.
GLEN AND MAGGIE ALMOST GET KILLED BY A ZOMBIE
Excitement Meter: 6/10
Well, at least this wasn’t a scene with drama in it. A zombie actually attacks someone. Yet again it was predictable. I knew the moment she started toward the pills she was doomed. How would this have been more exciting? Maybe if she had gotten bit, or something. Then Glen wouldn’t have a love interest. We can’t have that.
ANDREA AND SHANE GO ZOMBIE HUNTING AND HAVE SEX
Excitement Meter: 0/10
This is the exact opposite of exciting. I don’t want to see two annoying people have sex in a car. They could have the spawn of Satan now. I hate how Andrea thinks she is bad ass now. She is still useless.
DALE CONFRONTS SHANE
Excitement Meter: 1/10
Am I supposed to believe that Dale could ever hurt someone? Who could take him serious? The one thing that I don’t understand is why he likes Andrea so much. It is the equivalent of liking a ball of fur that is stuck under your couch.
RICK CONFRONTS LORI ABOUT HER PREGNANCY
Excitement Meter: 0/10
Lori is the most horrible person on this planet. I could care less what she is going through. It is really my only reason for not finding this exciting.
Overall this episode wasn’t really good at all. I found myself thinking that I was watching a soap opera. They are dragging out finding Sophie and I am getting really impatient.
This episode showed me two opposite sides of what a character can be. One can be totally useless. The other can do what a group of men can’t even while injured.
DARYL: THE AWESOME ONE
Daryl gets thrown from a horse, rolls down a hill, an arrow goes through his side, looses enough blood to hallucinate his brother talking to him, gets attacked by a couple of zombies, and still manages to make it back to the house by himself. How many people can say they can do that? Not a lot. Even after all that, he gets grazed by a bullet. Norman Reedus must have done something to piss the writers off that day.
I love how they thought up an excuse to bring Merle back. I will never forgive them for that. NEVER!
ANDREA: THE USELESS SACK OF POTATOES
Why did they give her a gun? She was already useless, but now she is useless and dangerous. What good is her character? I can’t think of anything she does that is helpful. I really wish she would go away.
This episode wasn’t as bad as the last one. At least things happened.
I always wondered how Hershel and his family survived without having to kill any zombies. The end of this episode answers that. I wasn’t expecting it at all.
This episode was a whole lot of nothing. The only thing that really went on was character development. I hate that. I don’t even have that much to say about this episode. That is how little went on.
I will say that I enjoyed the scene with the zombie in the well. It taught me a lesson in courage and teamwork. If you work together, you will successfully get the nasty fat zombie out of the well. Kind of out of the well at least. I don’t see the point of this scene, but it was entertaining anyway.
I don’t see the point of this whole episode. What did we really get out of it? Sophia is still missing, but maybe she is close by. Glen and Maggie have sex. Is that supposed to be a life altering event in the show? I knew that was going to happen right when they met. Andrea learns more about how to shoot a gun. How exciting!
It seems to me that this was just a filler episode. They didn’t really have anything spectacular planned, but they had to have the episode to make the season.
This episode has me contemplating who I want killed by zombies in the show. Here are a few.
He is really getting on my nerves. Just when I thought he couldn’t get any more loathsome, he does something even worse. The ending of this episode had me reeling in my seat. I just can’t believe he is that evil. You can see it in his eyes too. I just want him to get bit or something. Karma needs to pay him a visit.
She is getting worse with each episode. I don’t know why she is mad at Dale for saving her life. Is she really that selfish? She is also useless as well, but I have covered that in my past review. I want to slap her every time I see her face. I can’t imagine what would happen if her and Shane had babies. They would probably have horns and a tail.
I really contemplate her mothering skills. I can’t believe that a sane mother would actually question saving her son’s life. Is she really as hopeless as Andrea? Is that really possible? The reasoning behind her not wanting to save Carl is really stupid to me. The world is bad and always will be bad. You have to be able to make good out of it. I want to slap her as well. They make the women of this show unbearable.
FAVORITE CHARACTER: OTIS
I am going to drink a cold root beer for you Otis. Sad to see you go because of doucheface Shane.
